Syllabus
Grading percentages:
Labs 35%
Classwork 30%
Tests 25%
Semester Exam 10%
All work is expected to be completed and returned on time.
Aside from the school policy for absentee work, any late work accepted may be subjected to credit percentages and time limits for completion. Dishonesty discovered will result in loss of credit with possible opportunity for credit recovery outside provided class time.
This class uses our school's tardy policy.
Homework/Classwork
Assignments or labs on average are twice a week. It is my desire to provide classroom time for completion. However, students will be given the opportunity to take home work for completion. Occasional quizzes are with and without notice. Students will be allowed to use their personal notebook during unannounced quizzes.
Vocabulary words will be given in various formats (worksheets, notes, puzzles, etc.).
Bonus points
Bonus points are given on various assignments, labs, contest, and tests (and will sometimes require a parent/guardian's signature) and are not available upon request.
Notebook
Students are encouraged to keep their papers for reference, studying, and grade confirmation (like a bank statement). A well maintained notebook is excellent for completion of various assignments and reference standards. These items can be used for reference and open-note tests or quizzes.
Thank-you,
Mr. McKnight
